- hand painted leather "Souvenir Of Alaska" scrapbook
- compiled to send "get well" cards & wishes to a gentleman who was recovering from surgery
- circa 1950s-1960's
- 28 pages filled with inspirational messages, humorous notes, best wishes
- 62 cards in all
- styles range from traditional to "modern" including Snoopy & other characters of the era
- all are signed either by individuals or by groups of folks (most probably from his congregation)
- album cover is leather
- 2 beautiful hand painted illustrations of a totem & of a dog sled with driver and his team
- a stylized log has the "Souvenir Of Alaska" inscription
- nice enough to be suitable for framing
- back cover is tan cardboard with no adornment
Size: The album is approximately 13" x 9" x 1 1/4"
Condition: The covers have split from each other and the back cover is completely off. The front is still bound to the pages by a leather tie. All pages, cards, and notes are in very good condition. The painting on the front is undamaged but there is some soiling to the leather on which they are painted. This could be recycled for your own projects.
