This is a 1990 GMC Suburban V1500 wide body. Trailmaster edition.
These things are very collectible.
It runs great, off-roading is easy, tires are new, and it gets a lot of attention.
This car was my project but kids and life got in the way. I've done a lot and it needs a little more.
The body is very straight and rust free.
It has a factory rebuilt 5.7L engine with almost no miles on it.
New exhaust, gas tank, windshield, radiator, power steering, battery, stereo, and some other stuff under the hood.
It has a 2" lift plus new shocks and steering stabilizers.
It has brand new tires. I put on the biggest size that would also allow the spare to fit in the rear cargo area.
I have a set of used door panels to replace the ones in there, which are worn.
I have four new window motors, too. The electric windows work now but the motors do need replacing.
This is the Trailmaster version which had upgraded seats and some wooden trim inside that is unusual and very good looking. The front and middle rows have two captain chairs. the rear bench seat is removable.
The 350 motor has plenty of power. I like that this truck has the 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive and tranny cooler from the diesel version, which makes it heavy duty. It is 4X4 and has limited slip differential in the rear end.
It has a receiver hitch and trailer wiring.
The AC does not work. It needs that sorted and that is about all it needs mechanically.
The body is very straight and ready for restoration. The interior could be taken up to whatever standard you wish. Headliner and carpet kits are available, if you want to put in the labor.
These trucks sell for $25K or more when fully restored. This one drives great right now and could be taken to any level you choose.
I have $14,500 in it and I need to pass this truck on to someone who will love it.
