A bundle will make 2-3 gallon of tea (2 cups per gallon)
Bring a gallon of water almost to a boil, add the cota, then simmer very gently for 10–15 minutes. Store tea in fridge.
Cota (often called Indian Tea, Navajo Tea, or by its botanical name Thelesperma megapotamicum) is a wild Southwestern herb traditionally used by Indigenous peoples for both nourishment and healing. The golden flowers and leaves are brewed into a mild, earthy tea rich in antioxidants and known for supporting digestion, hydration, and j’ygeneral wellness. Traditionally, it has been used to soothe stomach discomfort, promote relaxation, and provide gentle support during colds and seasonal flu.
The tea can be enjoyed hot or cold and has a naturally smooth flavor that usually requires no sweetener.
