How They Work
The deicing process is a byproduct of continuous aeration:
• Our system uses smart temperature controlled technology that powers on and off the system only when freezing conditions exist. This then ensures that the battery power is only used when needed. How the system works when the temperature drops below freezing the air pump turns on and pushes air through a hose to a diffuser located near the bottom of the tank.
• The large bubbles rising from the diffuser circulate the warmer, denser water from the bottom of the tank to the surface.
• This constant water movement prevents a solid layer of ice from forming, even in sub-freezing temperatures.
• The ice that does form around the edges acts as an insulator for the water below.
