THE SCOOTER GURU OF SANTA FE offers several fine scooters for sale to the public at all times, summer and winter, from a brand new SCOOTER GURU MOJO 50 cutie that doesn't need a license or a registration to drive, to a fast, rare Piaggio Typhoon 125 (Yamaha Zuma-like, but with a bulletproof, smooth, quiet Vespa Italian Motor). Some of my bikes appear on Craigslist, but many do not, so it is always worthwhile to just drop by and see what's hot! And, whereas some prices are firm, others are not, so feel free to make offers on bikes that interest you. All I can do is say no!

Forget expensive and dubious local dealers: the coolest, best, most reliable scooters are HERE on Agua Fria Street and St. Francis Drive, with great support! Just drop by and check these bikes out in person -- I do not list all my available individual scooters for sale on Craigslist, and new bikes are coming in all the time, but all my scooters are available for showing, so come see them if you are interested!

The Scooter Guru -- who also happens to be The Computer Guru -- is located at 844 Agua Fria Street at the Southeast corner of the intersection of Agua Fria Street and St. Francis Drive, across from Lotus Beauty. There is plenty of free parking.

The Scooter Guru is open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10AM to 6PM, Wednesday & Friday from 10AM to 2PM, other days/times by appointment.

The Scooter Guru finds the best bikes and makes sure they are everything they should be. Often I find these bikes in other states, and I have to pay the transportation costs to get them to Santa Fe. That's okay, because often, the coolest bikes were never sold in this area, and good used examples can't be found here.

Once I've secured a bike, I replace all missing or worn-out parts, and sometimes I add desirable, practical, and fun-to-own accessories, like storage systems or windshields or rear passenger foot pegs. These items can be difficult to find, but I know how to find them. Often, I fix a bunch of problems that the seller didn't tell me about (and wouldn't have told you about, either). I do this work myself, so it gets done right.

I keep and road-test my bikes for as long as it takes -- months, if necessary. Then, and only then, when the vehicles are "sorted" and ready for safe, reliable operation on the road, do I offer them to you.

Serious buyers can e-mail me using the Craigslist messaging system or text me at 913-9050 (area code 505), and visit

Why buy your scooter from The Scooter Guru?

Here's why: just listen to these "True Life Santa Fe Scooter Stories" :

"I bought a 50cc scooter for $1200, because it drove beautifully and looked perfect. 17 miles after I bought it, it broke down on the Turquoise Trail. 17 miles! I had it towed to the local dealership, who wanted over $600 to fix it. They said it needed a new V-Belt, a new Variator, new roller weights, and more.

"I had no choice, so I paid for the repair. It took the dealership an entire MONTH to get all the parts in and the repair done. When I drove the bike away from the dealership at the "completion" of the service, it barely moved, whereas before the breakdown, it was very fast. $631, and it still wasn't right! The dealership would not stand behind their work; they claimed the bike needed "a racing clutch" in order to run correctly! How could that be, when it ran fine before?

I tried to get more information, but the dealership wouldn't help -- they just wanted more money...but I didn't trust them. What a mess! I had to contact my credit card company and try to get it sorted out that way."

Story #2:

I bought a nice-looking 50cc scooter off of Craigslist. The scooter was in Arizona so I couldn't test drive it, but the seller swore that the bike was perfect. It sure looked good, so I bought it and had it shipped to Santa Fe. When it arrived, it looked terrific, and I was excited that I'd made a "good deal" -- until I drove it! The bike had basically NO POWER, it could not even climb steep hills! I contacted the seller, a Doctor, and he swore that he thought the bike was supposed to be like that, he thought that was "normal" for a 50cc bike. This bike wouldn't go over 14 miles per hour, even on a level section of road. I asked him to refund some money, since I was looking at some kind of repair, but he absolutely refused.

"So I had the bike looked at and it needed a new piston, new piston rings, new cylinder head, rejetted carburetor -- it was a big, bloody, expensive mess. That's what you get when you buy scooters on Craigslist from private sellers...good luck to you!"

Sad but true: THAT'S why you want to buy scooters from THE SCOOTER GURU. In my long experience, no matter how perfect a seller claims a scooter to be, it always needs something -- and often needs a lot. That just won't happen with THE SCOOTER GURU OF SANTA FE!

I stand behind every scooter I sell, with WRITTEN WARRANTIES, and I offer every buyer who comes here decades of scooter and motorcycle experience, knowledge, honesty, and a deep, abiding love of scooters and passion for scootering. That means I personally check out every part of the machine, and ensure that you will have a happy, trouble-free scooter ownership experience. If the bike needs work, I DO that work, before the bike is offered for sale -- so you don't have to do it afterwards!

You won't find better scooters anywhere than at The Scooter Guru of Santa Fe! Drop by now!
