Looking for a Place to Live with Very Little or No Cell Signal
* I'm looking for a place to live in my tiny house where there is no (or very weak) cell and broadband reception, and no nearby wifi. Seven years ago I developed health issues related to wireless radiation frequencies, and I need to live out of range of all things wireless. I also need to live more than 100 ft from residential powerlines. I have professional quality meters that can measure wireless, and the electromagnetic fields associated with powerlines. I use these meters to assess potential properties – as I know what works for my health.
* I am happy to pay rent, or do a partial or full work trade. I would love to be of service in some way - help with caring for gardens or critters, caring for an elder, or keeping an eye on a property. I have a good eye for detail, and have lovingly cared for my own properties over the years.
* My needs are minimal. I prefer to live off-grid (I have a small DC-only solar system). I use about 35 gallons of water a week, and I am comfortable hauling my water – although I would prefer to find a water source within 10-15 miles. My house is heated with a small wood stove, and I generally cut my own firewood. I have a 2 burner propane cook stove. My outdoor space needs are minimal aside from space for an outdoor table and chairs. I have a compost toilet. My vehicle is 4WD Toyota 4Runner. I am creative, conscientious, quiet and tidy. I don't drink alcohol or have substance addictions.
* I have an outdoor orientation and have spent most of my life living, working and recreating in remote areas. I mapped soils and fires, surveyed streams, and worked on watershed rehabilitation projects for the US Forest Service. I taught special education for three remote rural school districts in Washington State, and worked on community education projects focused on sustainable forestry, supporting organic farmers, and reducing conflicts between people and wildlife predators (bears, cougars, wolves). I co-managed a small farm, and raised sheep for breeding stock and meat. I am an avid wildlands explorer and student of force-free, positive reinforcement dog training.
* I have lived in my tiny house in Taos, Rio Arriba and Mora Counties in N NM, and in Gila Hot Springs in S NM.
* I sourced the least toxic materials that I could find in building my home. It's insulated with sheep's wool, and is mostly solid wood construction. The house is 18 ft long, 8 ft 6 inches wide and 13 ft 6 inches tall. I generally move it with a 1 ton dually or a ¾ ton truck.
* If you know of a place that might work for me and my well behaved canine girls, Jo and Minnie, please feel free to contact me.
I check my email about once a week, but text and voice are best. Thank you!
