We are a high-end residential remodeling and custom home builder seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations across our projects.
This role is responsible for managing day-to-day jobsite activities, coordinating subcontractors and trades, maintaining schedules, and ensuring our standards of quality and craftsmanship are executed at the highest level. The Superintendent plays a critical role in delivering exceptional homes and an outstanding client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Jobsite Leadership & Oversight
- Oversee all on-site construction activities from project start through completion
- Manage subcontractors and trades to ensure work is completed on schedule and to specification
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
- Enforce safety standards and company policies
- Conduct regular site walks to ensure quality control and attention to detail
Schedule & Coordination
- Develop and manage project schedules
- Proactively identify potential delays and implement solutions
- Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with local building codes
- Ensure materials are ordered and delivered in alignment with project timelines
Quality Control & Craftsmanship
- Maintain the highest standards of workmanship
- Review plans and specifications to ensure accurate execution
- Identify and correct deficiencies promptly
- Oversee punch lists and ensure projects are delivered to completion with excellence
Client & Team Communication
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for homeowners when appropriate
- Maintain professional and respectful communication with clients, architects, and designers
- Participate in progress meetings and provide clear updates on timelines and milestones
- Foster a collaborative, solution-oriented jobsite culture
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a Superintendent in residential construction
- Experience in high-end remodels and/or custom home builds preferred
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, building codes, and best practices
- Proven ability to manage multiple trades and schedules simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with Computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and construction management software (JobTread, Houzz, or similar preferred)
