-Fishcraft or Rapid-Rig style trailer, where raft rides on top with gear storage underneath.
-Base trailer is PJ Trailers U6 Utility, model 6012, model year 2013.
-60” W x 12’ L bed
-22” tall solid sides, with pipe top. Sides are removable.
-Single 3500 lb. Dexter axle with EZ lube hubs (hubs never submerged)
-4’ bi-fold, expanded metal gate that is roughly flush with top pipe of walls when up and folded. Can remove 1/2 of gate or entire gate.
-Bulldog coupler, 2” ball
-Bulldog swivel jack with sand foot, 5000 lb. capacity
-wood deck in great shape— stained with penofin, and always covered with astroturf-like carpet to provide traction and protect from sun
-Custom-built, removable platforms to support tubes of raft. Each platform is 21” W and 110” L, long enough to support the straight/flat section of most 16’ rafts. I have carried 14’ and 16’ rafts.
-Platforms are switchable L to R, so that trailer can be run in either “wide” or “narrow” boat configuration.
-For “wide” configuration, width between outer edges of platforms is 94”, and width between inner edges is 52” (73” center-to-center).
-For “narrow” configuration, width between outer edges of platforms is 82”, and width between inner edges is 40” (61” center-to-center).
-Platforms easily removed so that trailer can be used as a utility to carry landscaping materials, trash, brush, etc. Each platform weighs about 60 lbs.
-Platforms constructed from 80/20 aluminum extrusions, and topped with 1/4” HDPE so that boat slides easily.
-Rollers behind each platform, also removable.
-1500 lb. winch
-spare tire mount and spare tire
-new tires, leaf springs, and bearings September 2019.
I have used this trailer for 6+ seasons and it has been awesome. I am selling because I have a family of 5, with three growing boys (+ friends) and a wife who all want or will soon be wanting their own craft. With this large crew, its becoming impossible to cram all our gear into the 5’ x 12’ bed (we tow with a 3-row SUV not a pickup to keep the peace on the road).
