Situated at just over 10,000 feet, a short distance from the Kachina lift, Bavarian Restaurant and the Phoenix Lodge, nestled in the natural surroundings of the spectacular Wheeler Peak Wilderness Area in the Sangre de Cristo mountain range, this large, 3 bedroom, 3rd and 4th floor condo is the perfect place for you to experience endless possibilities of outdoor activities right at your doorstep.

The main living space is modern and open, featuring a gas fireplace, flat screen TV, and 2 story, floor to ceiling windows. Radiant floor heating throughout the condo provides comfortable warmth to the large open space. The open concept kitchen features GE stainless steel appliances, gas stove, granite counter tops and plenty of counter space for cooking for large groups. Just outside the main living area is a large deck/balcony with a new stainless steel gas barbeque grill. The deck is a perfect place to relax, soak in the sun and enjoy the 180 degree mountain views of the ski slopes, Kachina Mountain, and mountains of the Wheeler Peak Wilderness Area. Because of the condo's position in the valley and facing southwest, this condo gets more afternoon sun than any of the area properties. "Taos light" is like nowhere else. Experience it yourself from the condo deck as the sun sets over Kachina Mountain, a special orange glow illuminates the alpine landscape. There are two bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom features a king bed, large walk in closet, flat screen TV, and an en suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and walk in shower. If you are up early, sun rise views can be seen from the master bedroom window as well as the second floor window in the rear of the condo. Watch a golden, first light slowly appear on Gold Hill as dawn begins to break. The 2nd bedroom features two twin beds, a closet and a door to a full 2nd bathroom. The 2nd full bathroom is also accessed from the bedroom hallway and features a bath tub with shower, toilet and sink. In the bedroom hallway, there are two large closets for all the outdoor gear as well as a full-size washing machine and gas dryer. Up the stairs, the second floor, 500 square foot "loft" features 2 twin beds, 1 bunk bed (full size bed on bottom bunk) a TV with a DVD player, and a new American Leather queen plus comfort sleeper sofa (6 inches larger than a queen). American Leather comfort sleepers are regarded as the most comfortable sleeper sofas on the market. There is also plenty of floor space for a queen Aero bed and/or extra mattress for large groups or families with kids.

This condo is modern, functional and flexible in terms of occupancy- perfect for 2 family/ large family groups, for an adult couples/ girls/guys get-away or for couples looking to spend quality romantic time together. Taos adventures are infinite; whether it is exploring all the natural surroundings and outdoor activities all around the Taos Ski Valley or exploring the unique art and history of the town of Taos. There is so much to do all over the place. For many, however, coming to the Taos Ski Valley is all about the incredible skiing/boarding. This property is unique because lift# 4 / Kachina lift is just a 5 minute walk from the condo. You are able to skip the crowds and start your day on fresh "back side" snow. You will find that there is nothing like a Taos Ski Valley powder day.

In local folklore, the Taos Mountain has a sacred spirit. According to legend, if the mountain likes you, it will continue to draw you back and keep you. Come stay in this beautiful mountain condo and experience your Taos adventure. You never know, the Mountain might like you and you will be drawn back to Taos over and over again.

NOTE: Roads to the condo are well maintained in the summer and well plowed in the winter. However this condo is located at a high altitude in a heavy snow belt - a vehicle with either 4-wheel drive or AWD is required from November through April (chains are an alternative).
